FreeMium JayRain — Privacy Policy

1. Data we collect

• Discord identifiers: user, server (guild), channel, and voice-channel IDs needed to operate the bot and dashboard.
• Node connection details: the host, port, and password you provide when linking your own Lavalink music node (via the /mynode or /setup commands, or the dashboard's My Node page), plus your share-with-servers preference. These are stored in the bot's database so the bot can connect to your node when music is requested.
• Console state: which voice channel the bot's in-chat console panel was posted in (server, voice channel, and panel message IDs), so the panel can be refreshed or re-posted.
• Dashboard sign-in: when you log in with Discord (scopes identify and guilds), your Discord access token is kept in an HMAC-signed browser cookie and used server-side only to list your servers. No dashboard database account is created.
• Message content (limited): while the bot is connected to a voice channel, it reads plain messages in that voice channel's text chat to treat them as song requests. Messages starting with / or ! are ignored. Message content is used only to search for the requested song and is never stored.
• Ephemeral playback state: the current queue and playback position exist only in memory while music is playing and are discarded when the session ends.

2. Bots

Bot-specific handling, distinct from the dashboard: the Discord bot stores node connection details and console state in its own SQLite database on its Railway volume; it reads message content only in voice-channel text chats where it is actively connected (for song requests); and it makes outbound connections to your node to health-check it and stream audio. The dashboard never sees your node password — connection tests run server-side and only a pass/fail result reaches your browser.

3. How we use it

Data is used solely to provide FreeMium JayRain's features: connecting to your music node, resolving which node to use (yours, your server's, or a shared member node), posting and refreshing the in-chat console, and showing your servers and playback controls on the dashboard. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties, except as required by law. Note that if you enable "share with my servers," other members of servers you're in can play music through your node while your PC is online — that is the point of the feature, and you can turn it off at any time.

5. Retention

Node connection details are kept while your node link exists — delete it any time with the dashboard's My Node page or the bot's remove option, and it is removed. Other server data is kept while the bot remains in your server. You may request access to or deletion of your data by contacting the operator (see below).

6. Hosting

Data is stored in a private SQLite database on a Railway volume (hosted infrastructure, United States). Access is limited to the bot operator.
